Room Hire (Not-for-Profit and Commercial Hire)

Mackie Rd Neighbourhood House (MRNH) also supports community groups and not-for-profit organisations through the hire of our facilities. We are happy to assist groups looking for somewhere to hold regular meetings or workshops. We have a variety of rental spaces available.

Room Rental Charges

Computer Lab (Willow)- approx. 15 people $30.00/hr $40.00/hr
Art Room (Wattle)- approx. 10 people $20.00/hr $30.00/hr
Large Classroom/Meeting Room (Oak/Maple) approx. 15-20 people $25.00/hr $35.00/hr
Small Classroom/Meeting Room (Pine or Gum) approx. 8-10 people $20.00/hr $30.00/hr

All groups hiring rooms at the Centre must have Public Liability Insurance (minimum of $10million) and, where appropriate, Professional Indemnity Insurance (a limit of $5million)

*Resources are subject to availability and may incur a hire charge.

Tea and coffee is available in the e-cafe during office hours

Carparking
MRNH has its own onsite car park with additional parking available at Wellington Reserve.

Important Notes

  • Room Hire is subject to approval by the Manager and KNH Inc. Terms and Conditions.
  • Preference is given to Not-for-profit/community organisations seeking room hire on a regular basis (e.g. weekly or fortnightly).

Room Hire (Private Hire)

Mackie Rd Neighbourhood House (MRNH) also hires some rooms for private events.

Please note no alcohol is allowed on the premises.

Room Rental Charges

Room Minimum Hire Time  Room Rates
Hall – approx. 50-100 3 hours $150 per 3-hour block, plus bond, cleaning fee, insurance, and key deposit
*$45.00/hr for additional time
Art Room (Wattle)- approx. 10 people 2 hours $80 per 2-hour block, plus bond, cleaning fee, insurance, and key deposit
$35.00/hr for additional time
Large Classroom/Meeting Room (Oak/Maple) approx. 15-20 people 2 hours $80 per 2-hour block, plus bond, cleaning fee, insurance, and key deposit
$35.00/hr for additional time
Kitchen (optional extra with room booking) As per room booking time $10.00/hr

*Private bookings will be accepted between the hours of 9am and 10pm, including set up and pack up time.

Bond
A bond of $200 will be taken upon booking. This bond is non-refundable if the hired space or Wellington Reserve Centre is left in an unclean or damaged state after the hire or has not been returned to its original state. Please see sections 10-13 ‘Damage’ for further information.

Refundable Key Deposit
For bookings outside of MRNH office hours, a key and access card will be issued. A refundable key/card deposit of $100 will be held until the key/ card are returned. Key/cards must be returned in the week following the hire.

Cleaning Fee
There is a non-refundable $50 cleaning fee for all private room hires.

Insurance
All private hires must purchase Hall Hirer’s Insurance of $18.00 per visit, upon booking.
